Reporting to the Community Recreation Supervisor, the Youth Program Instructors, in conjunction with the Youth Recreation Coordinator, plan, organize, and implement recreational programs for youth aged 11-17 while ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. Program curriculum includes skill building, recreational, sport activities and more. This is a Seasonal position from September 2026 - June 2027.
Qualifications
- Diploma or working towards diploma in Recreation, Leadership, Child and Youth Worker, Education or similar program is an asset
- Experience with cooking/baking, art and skateboarding will be considered an asset
- A valid Standard First Aid Certificate with a level "C" CPR is required prior to commencing employment
- As a condition of employment, applicants must submit a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (dated within the past 3 months) from their local police service for approval by the Corporation prior to commencing employment
- Must be available for shifts starting at 2:45 pm weekdays, and rotating weekend shifts
