Job Summary

Reporting to the Program Manager Capital Projects, the Systems Integrator 1 will provide expertise and advice related to the development, implementation, configuration, and sustainment of solutions in support of the Division's implementation of IBM Mamixo through the Enterprise Work Management Solution project.

Major Responsibilities

• Lead or participate as part of a team in the delivery of projects or work packages, including the delivery of software analysis and design, development, testing, implementation, and sustainment.
• Establish and maintain business relationships with internal clients supporting the discussion or assessment of client needs.
• Participate substantially in the preparation of Project Charters, Statements of Work and Project Plans.
• Prepare Plans, Gap Analysis, Logical Data Models and Design documents for proposed solutions.
• Prepare and present status reports for work packages.
• Assess, analyze, evaluate and recommend technical process alternatives as part of projects & work packages.
• Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans.
• Lead team to draft implementation & rollout strategies and plans.
• Liaise and co-ordinate with internal & external groups on accomplishment of deliverables.
• Contribute to the redesign of business principles, processes, policies, and standards by recommending best practices and improvements to current processes.
• Determine business requirements and build consensus amongst clients.
• Provide input to Data Management teams on transformation of clients' business requirements.
• Recommend improvements to current methodology, process, standards, and policies.
• Liaise with staff in development of test strategies, test cases & test scripts for system, performance, usability acceptance testing of system solutions developed.
• Assist staff in understanding of business processes and logic.
• Conduct walk-through of deliverables to identify areas of concern.
• Prepare training material and documentation for use by clients and staff.
• Prepare findings & "Lessons Learned" for post-implementation project review.
• Conduct training for clients and their staff.

Key Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Education in computer science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Considerable experience in software development methodologies, particularly for web and/or mobile interfaces.
• Considerable experience in working with database implementation including data loading, cleansing and general ETL activities.
• Experience conducting testing and developing and/or working with test scripts for solutions, systems or technical processes.
• Experience working with business users to determine their requirements, analyze information processes, and recommend solutions.
• Skilled in preparing program specifications and technical documentation, including use cases, flowcharts, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), and designs for data integration, reporting, and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes.
• Ability to work with competing demands, prioritize and meet deadlines, giving attention to detail and work accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and products relating to internet technology with specific reference to web, mobile and geospatial technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a project team setting and with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to customer service, high quality work and continuous improvement.

The following are considered assets:

• Experience working with IBM Maximo or an equivalent enterprise work and asset management platform.
• Experience with SQL/SQL Server, Oracle DB, and/or IBM Db2.
