Skate Park Instructor - Fall/Winter/Spring 2026-2027

Position Details

Working with the Town of Newmarket’s Recreation and Culture Team, means the opportunity to make a difference and connect with your community! Working in Recreation means being apart of something special, gaining valuable work experience and learning new skills. We are looking for dedicated individuals who enjoy working with others with a passion to deliver high quality programs, events and services. The Successful Candidate will

• Set up and take down telMAX Indoor Skate Park equipment as needed, and report any issues or repairs to the Youth Centre Director.
• Develop lesson plans and evaluate the progress and participation.
• Write and handout report cards outlining your students’ accomplishments and recommendations each session. Update parents/guardians on their child’s progress.
• Keep track of participant attendance during lessons and monitor entry and exit of program participants.
• Supervises and maintains a safe environment for participants, ensures participants wear appropriate safety equipment.
• Complete Incident/Accident reports, provide basic first aid when needed, and notify the Youth Centre Director when required.
