Under the direction of the Manager, Planning Services, the Senior Planner - Development is responsible for a full range of planning functions related to the jurisdiction and responsibilities of Planning Services including the review, analysis and processing of development applications under the Planning Act: official plan amendment applications, zoning by-law amendment applications, site plan applications, and draft plans of subdivision / condominium.
Researching and preparation of reports and other correspondence.
Appear as a witness at Local Planning Appeal Tribunal hearings.
Interacting frequently with community members to address planning matters.
Responding to requests for planning information.
