Senior Compensation & Benefits Analyst, you'll provide specialized expertise and analytical support across compensation, benefits, job evaluation, and HRIS functions. Working closely with leaders, employees, unions, consultants, and service providers, you'll help ensure compensation and benefits remain competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with organizational needs.

How You'll Support the Team
In this role, you will support the administration and continuous improvement of compensation, benefits, and HRIS programs. You will also have the following accountabilities:
- Support the development, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of corporate compensation and benefits programs aligned with Corporate and Council strategic priorities.
- Support the administration of compensation programs, including job evaluation, job description maintenance, position classification, salary administration, and related compensation practices for union and non-union employees.
- Conduct and coordinate union and non-union job evaluation processes, including chairing job evaluation committees, evaluating positions, preparing supporting documentation, maintaining records, and communicating outcomes to employees and management.
- Administer job evaluation appeals and coordinates approved pay adjustments arising from job evaluation outcomes in accordance with established procedures, policies, and collective agreements.
- Participate in compensation surveys and market benchmarking activities; compiles and analyzes comparator data to support competitive and equitable compensation practices.
- Assist with the maintenance of Pay Equity Plans and supports ongoing compliance with the Pay Equity Act and related legislation.
- Prepare costing analyses related to wage adjustments, organizational changes, compensation reviews, and collective bargaining support.
- Coordinate the administration of employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision care, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), short-term disability, long-term disability, EFAP, and other benefit plans.
- Act as a liaison with third-party administrators, benefits consultants, service providers, and employees regarding benefits administration, eligibility changes, billing matters, claims issues, audits, and issue resolution.
- Support HRIS administration and implementation activities, including data validation, system testing, report development, process documentation, user training coordination, and responding to user inquiries to support effective and efficient use of HR systems.
- Provide analytical and technical support related to compensation, benefits, workforce, and HRIS data, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and identifying trends or opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, briefing materials, presentations, and recommendations related to compensation, benefits, and HRIS activities; responds to employee and management inquiries and assists with the interpretation and application of procedures, collective agreements, and applicable legislation.
- Contribute to audits, compliance reviews, grievance research, organizational reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Compensation & Benefits Section.
