Multi-Use Facility Attendant

Position Details

• Position Type: 2 Temporary Full-Time Positions for 6 Months; 1 Temporary Full-Time Position for 8 Months
• Work Location: City Hall outdoor rink

Overview

Assist in the day-to-day activities of our multi-use facilities. We are looking for responsible individuals with the ability to work a variety of shifts at City Hall outdoor rink.

Responsibilities

Work with minimum supervision in all phases of the operation of a Multi-Use Facility. Prioritize work and carry out duties as assigned.

Duties include:

• Building/equipment maintenance, customer service and janitorial duties.
• Ice making and maintenance - Operates equipment (e.g., ice resurfacer (e.g., Zamboni), edger, hand chopper) to maintain ice around boards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

• Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.

Additional Requirements

• Valid MTO "G" class driver's license in good standing.
• Attend and successfully complete Emergency First-Aid training.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Flexible to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Demonstrated communication/customer service skills.
• Ability to keep accurate written records.
• Ability to participate as an effective team member.
• Attend mandatory staff training sessions and successfully pass the course requirements.
• Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
