The North Perth Public Library is seeking a friendly and reliable Casual Library Assistant to provide relief coverage at all 3 branches. This role supports with various functions in the branches, as needed, including assisting patrons, managing check-ins/check-outs, PCIN circulation, and supporting with program preparation.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Diploma in a related field
• Excel Certificate in managing a small public library an asset
• First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• 1-2 years of customer service experience
• Previous library experience is an asset
• Service excellence and a positive attitude
• The ability to work well alone and in a team setting

Working Conditions

This is a casual position with variable hours, providing additional staffing coverage as needed. Shifts will include daytime, evenings and weekends across all 3 branches.

The hourly wage for this position is $26.44 - $33.04 per hour, along with access to a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program and optional enrollment in the OMERS pension plan.
