Position Details

• Location: Geraldton Ward
• Job Type: Permanent / Full-Time
• Rate of Pay: $33.64 per hour
• Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
• Deadline: October 30, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.

General

To operate and maintain heavy equipment in the Municipality of Greenstone.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Grade 12.
• Must possess a DZ licence.
• Be proficient in the use and maintenance of Loader, Backhoe & Grader.
• Must have physical ability to perform duties and ability to work under stress.
• Previous related experience an asset.

Reporting Relationship

Reporting to Public Works Working Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment.
• Service and maintain all equipment.
• Safely operate all trucks and equipment.
• Maintain equipment records.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Report all health and safety issues to the Working Supervisor.

Working Conditions and Hours of Work

• May be required to work overtime / shift work as required.
• Working in all weather conditions.
• Noise and fumes from equipment.
• Physical effort when performing labour work; visual effort when operating.
