Job Summary

The Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan is accepting applications for the position of Grader and Heavy Equipment Operator within the Public Works Department.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent with a minimum of three years' experience
  • Ability to handle physical effort and exertion
  • Knowledge of safety procedures
  • DZ Driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
  • Minimum two years' experience sanding/salting with a tandem truck
  • Ability to operate all Roads Department equipment including but not limited to backhoe, dump truck, excavator, water truck
  • Grader experience is required
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work on an "as needed" basis, including weekends

Work Hours

Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. Summer hours, from the first full week of May until the end of August, are Monday to Thursday, 6:15 am to 5:00 pm.
