Food And Beverage Attendant (Part-Time)

Position Details

• Hours of Work: Up to 24 hours a week

Reporting to the Supervisor of Food & Beverage, the Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for the preparation, cooking, service, and efficient delivery of food and beverage offerings to patrons across the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre restaurant, concession outlets, and affiliated events.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving concession items
• Operating food service stations
• Bartending
• Cooking
• Serving
• Handling POS sales and transactions
• Delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Employees may be trained and scheduled across all areas of the food and beverage operation including concessions, kitchen, restaurant, and bar service to support operational needs and ensure a seamless guest experience
• Employees are expected to be available to work day, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or graduated from secondary school, or equivalent
• Three to Six months of previous experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred
• Demonstrate courtesy and respect when interacting with customers and team members
• Basic working knowledge of computer programs and restaurant software is required
• Strong multitasking abilities and effective time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of safe work practices and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
• Smart Serve certification is required for employees working in front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant roles (not required for concession-only roles or for those under 18 years of age)
• Food Handler Certification is required
