Position Summary

Reporting to the Coordinator, Adult and Older Adults, the Town of Aurora’s Aurora Seniors Centre is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals for a position of Fitness Instructor 2 to teach various Cardio and Muscle based group fitness classes for Adult and Older Adults.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must have a current basic Group Fitness certification, (Can Fit Pro, OFC, or equivalent) and/or Group Fitness Instructor specialty certification. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal courteously and effectively with all levels of staff, program participants and the public. In addition, the ideal applicant must possess a valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificate issued by a training agency recognized by the WSIB, and have availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, daytime, and holidays, as required.

Successful applicants to this position will be required to provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check that is satisfactory to the Town prior to their start date at the applicants’ own cost.
