Financial Services Coordinator (Taxes and Tangible Capital Assets)

The Township of East Zorra-Tavistock is seeking applications for a full time Financial Services Coordinator to fill a vacancy in the Finance department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Township’s tax billing and collecting processes, coordination and monitoring of all Township tax revenue
  • Assists the Deputy Treasurer in regards to accounting functions and corporate revenues
  • Assists the Deputy Treasurer with all Tangible Capital Assets and other accounting functions
  • Provides back up to the front desk customer service duties and answering phones and receipting of all payments when needed

Requirements

  • Post secondary education in accounting and/or business
  • Completion of the Municipal Tax Administration Program (MTAP) is required, or willingness to obtain within the first year
  • Good analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in general office administrative support
  • Certified Municipal Revenue Professional (CMRP) is considered an asset

Additional Information

This is a regular full-time position, 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and includes a comprehensive benefits package and OMERS Pension Plan. The 2026 salary range is $34.24 – $40.29 per hour. A detailed job description can be obtained from the Township website.
