Position Details

Status: Seasonal during school season, part-time, Monday to Friday, one (1) to two (2) hours per day
Hourly Rate: $21.75/shift or $43.50/day depending on qualifications and educational experience
Location: Thamesford
Department: Recreation Programs & Services
Work Location: On-Site

This job posting is for a current vacancy. We are searching for a responsible and community-minded individual to join our team. As the Crossing Guard, reporting to the Recreation Programs & Services Coordinator, you are responsible for the safe passage of pedestrians (especially students/children) at the crosswalk on Dundas Street in Thamesford, and stopping traffic in accordance with the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and the Township of Zorra policies and guidelines.

Duties

Ensure the safe crossing of pedestrians at the crosswalk on Dundas Street
Stop traffic as required and comply with relevant safety and traffic legislation and policies
