Job Summary

The Central Support Business Co-Op Student will report to the Central Support Ops Supervisor in assisting with the Student Onboarding processes, multiple encoding functions and general administrative support for Seniors Services.

Education

  • Current enrollment in an approved post-secondary institution Business Program
  • Excellent computer skills – software/databases, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Planning, analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Independent worker
  • Able to communicate in a professional manner (oral and written)
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Able to prioritize work assignments from management staff
  • Website navigation skills

Responsibilities

  • Supporting new hire processes in Central Support
  • Monitoring and actioning tickets in the Central Support portal
  • Completing various encoding tasks in different databases
  • Maintaining various excel trackers and other type of reporting
  • Submitting financial payment requests in finance software or related tasks
  • Outlook and Microsoft Teams meeting set-ups and catering arrangements
  • Support Committees by taking minutes and distributing agenda packages
  • General administrative support for Central Support
  • The Co-Op student may be asked to develop a Capstone project to support quality improvement work, streamline process in Central Support. This will be discussed by the manager and the Co-Op student
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Special Requirements

In accordance with the Corporate Criminal Record Check Policy, this position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Records Check and submit a Canadian Police Clearance Certificate including a Vulnerable Sector Search.
