Job Summary

You will support the City of Ottawa POSSE platform which manages building and right-of-way permitting, development approvals, business licensing and other municipal business activities. You will lead and oversee development of integrations with POSSE and related technologies. You will apply knowledge of full-stack web development, from front-end JavaScript and UI frameworks, to backend APIs and the database layer. You will help administer the windows server application infrastructure, user accounts involving Active Directory, and mobile app deployments. You will maintain system integrations using Esri, FME, Oracle, APIs, or other technologies and use applicable programming languages. Azure DevOps shall be used to maintain code and to collaborate on bugs, user stories, and requirements with the team.

Education and Experience

  • Completion of 3 year university degree or college diploma in information management, information technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible experience in applications development and/or integration, including experience writing and supporting applications with databases.

  • Microsoft ASP, VB, C#, C++ and .Net programming languages;

  • tuning query performance and logical data modelling concepts
