• Hiring Range: $120,401 – $135,451 per annum

Infrastructure Planning, Partnerships and Compliance helps achieve our mission of "Providing Clean Water for Life" by protecting and managing our water resources, planning new water and wastewater infrastructure to meet growth demands, asset management planning to maintain the existing $26 Billion infrastructure in a state of good repair, planning and supporting water and wastewater regulatory compliance and quality management systems. We build and manage strategic partnerships with the Local Municipalities, Ontario Clean Water Agency, Conservation Authorities, and other municipalities and external agencies.

The Role:
You'll be reporting to the Manager, Asset Management and Strategic Asset Planning and working closely with Water and Wastewater Maximo Expert. You'll be responsible for the functional leadership, governance, business process standardization, implementation support, and ongoing optimization of the Water and Wastewater Division's IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS).

As the divisional functional lead for Maximo, you'll serve as the primary business-facing subject matter expert for enterprise work and asset management processes and works closely with operational stakeholders, Information Technology Services, implementation partners, and vendors to ensure solutions support divisional business requirements, operational objectives, asset management practices, and long-term sustainment goals.

You'll provide specialized expertise and leadership in the development, implementation, continuous improvement, and governance of work management processes, asset information standards, and technology-enabled business practices that support the delivery of safe and reliable water and wastewater services.

What You Will Do In This Role

• Act as the primary functional lead and business representative for the Water & Wastewater Maximo platform.
• Provide functional leadership and governance over divisional work management, asset management, maintenance planning, and asset information processes.
• Maintain ownership of divisional requirements, enhancement requests, and system improvement roadmaps.
• Establish and maintain business rules, standards, and governance practices related to work management, asset information, and Maximo utilization.
• Apply specialized expertise to evaluate business needs, operational challenges, and emerging requirements and develop recommendations that improve operational effectiveness and service delivery.
• Participate in business process reviews, workshops, and requirements gathering activities with operational, engineering, maintenance, and corporate stakeholders.
• Translate operational requirements into functional specifications and business requirements.
• Evaluate solution alternatives and recommend approaches that maximize business value while minimizing complexity, risk, and long-term sustainment impacts.
• Participate in governance and design review processes to ensure solutions align with approved business objectives, divisional standards, and enterprise requirements.
• Review and validate proposed Maximo configurations, workflows, and functional designs.
• Challenge and assess vendor recommendations to ensure alignment with approved business processes, divisional standards, and operational requirements.
• Coordinate divisional participation in design, configuration, testing, training, deployment, and sustainment activities.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and provide recommendations regarding solution readiness, business acceptance, and production deployment.
• Support implementation planning, organizational readiness, change management, and user adoption initiatives.
• Lead and support asset data governance initiatives including development of data standards, quality requirements, naming conventions, classification standards, and business rules.
• Collaborate with divisional and corporate stakeholders to improve reporting, analytics, performance measurement, and decision-support capabilities.
• Monitor system utilization, business adoption, process performance, and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support development and execution of divisional Maximo roadmaps, continuous improvement initiatives, and future technology enhancements.
• Prepare and present recommendations, briefing materials, business cases, reports, and presentations for management and governance committees.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to operational users, project teams, and stakeholders regarding work management processes, asset information standards, and Maximo best practices.
